My painting of Butter

A few years ago My friend gave us Butter . Well her grandson was very fond of Butter and has come over to visit her a few times . So I decided to make him a picture book of all the funny photos I had of her and give it to him. So I painted a picture of her on the cover and filled it with all the funny photos I have of her and gave it to him and he was thrilled , So I told him I would send him photos of her every now and again to put in his book . I just send him 4 more .

These are 2 of my latest paintings . The top one is of my niece and her 2 little girls. And the second one is of my other niece . I was hopeing to have them copied and sent to them but couldn't believe the cost of that . So i will have to wait .

Fly me to the moon painting

" Fly me to the moon", Is my latest painting. This one I tryed not to over crowd the background. I am not sure how I like that LOLOLOL . But every painting is a learning one . And I am still learning.

Queen of Hearts and Roses crown

On the Suzi Blu network we are doing projects every 2 weeks and this was our first one . To make a Hat or a Crown . It was a fun project. We could used a headband . I used a halloween crown I brought and went from there . scrapbook paper, ribbon, roses, stamped hearts,Tulle, glitter and whatever else i could find to fancy it up .

My pretty girl

This is my first piece from my E class by Suzi Blu. Its been wonderful . I have learned so much about backgrounds and layering and how to do nice faces . I did a paper dress on this one but I don't care for that so the next one I am going to do painted dresses .This is done on watercolor paper with watercolor paint, acrylic, stamping, stenciling, spongeing,doilies, tissue paper and glitter.

Thoughts

I am going to go and buy a laptop today I am taking an eclass with Suzi Blu and I cant watch the videos she makes on my DVD player as I can only put them on CDs. Plus I am going to the farm for a few weeks . I need to get out of this neighborhood for a while . I am housebound . I had a friend in my neighbors next door but she is as crazy as an old bat . She thought I blabbed on of her " secrets " I didn't and now wont speak to me . The crazy thing is I knew she was always like this crazy and paranoid but for some reason didn't think she would not trust me . how foolish was that train of thought . Of course she never trusted me she didn't trust ANYONE!!!!!!! Thinks everyone here is out to get her, steal from her and damage what she owns . Christ where have I been living . I must have had my head up my dam ass to believe she even cared. Now I am lumped in with all the other "whores and thief's" (and names and words I refuse to use here.) I have retreated to staying inside and minding my own business because I know her mouth is very busy now blabbing about what a shitty friend I was . so I am going to the farm for a few weeks . Where it is peaceful, quiet, and beautiful. Where there is no crime, no drug dealers , no crazy old bats , whores , or thief's, no gossip or dirty looks . PEACE. PEACE. PEACE. PEACE

Dotee Dolls

My group" altered art of visions and dreams" on yahoo has gone dotee doll crazy lately. These are just 2 of them I have made . We are doing a swap, an ATC swap , a Dotee doll challenge where one of the members gave everyone the same color fabric and said make a Dotee doll and lets see how it turns out . This came from a post from me saying that not everyone can be compared with each others and then thought of as good or bad because if we were given all the same piece of fabric or canvas and told to make the same thing it would be all different . Because we has people are all different . So It will be fun to see how this turns out .

Look what I got - Art in a Carton

I got my carton from Susan . Oh I love everything that was in it . She made me this lovely triangle handmde book that was all about nature . Susan you couldnt have picked a better subject for me LOLOLOL . And a beautiful match book draw box very pretty and a BIG felt bead LOLOLO which I love . Now I will get my cartons ready to mail and who will they be off to I wonder ................

Art Journal cover

This is an Art Journal cover I did for an art journal I made my self that I can take up to our farm/land . It was made with handmade paper on the outside and had some on the inside . I have added some more watercolor paper inside . Its tall about 12 to 15 inches tall so I think it will make a great journal for me ,

Spring Thyme Board Book

This is a Board book that I am working on . It has a spring theme. The cover is a combination of fabric and paper,beads and images . I have 2 spreads done in it so far . The daffodils are the first one . The daffys are some I watercolored then cut out and added a peom . The dragonfly is on the paper added some ink stain and a time flutters by sticker .The Pink flowers are a magazine cutout thats glued on to a paper background . Then found the Inspire words in a magazine and glued them to a paper background and then added the Robins Williams quote .

Button Fairies

These are 3 Button Fairy pins I did for a swap . I used old antique

buttons from my button collection and then designed the fairies around them . I like bright colors so I wanted the fairies to be bold and bright like the buttons .

Cracked glass Eggs in a nest

I just learned this today . Its called Cracked glass . Its the coolest thing. I love doing it. This is a stamp image that I colored with colored pencils then did the cracked glass over the top . Cool huh?

Ready for a Spring Fling!

This ia a smaller free standing paper doll . She is all ready for that spring fling party. She is made from a stamp image, colorpenciles, Fiber trim and paper.

Mannequins

I did these 3 Mannequinns for a swap on the Gluebots Yahoo group I belong too. I really liked the way they came out . I painted the mannequinn with a bright blue then covered it in a paper lace. When it dryed it became so brillant I loved the color. Then I stamped the wings with embrossing ink and embrossed them with black. Then used my H2Os paint in 3 wonderful blues. Added some old lace at the bottom and my image and a ribbon at the top . All done .

Paper dolls

I found this templete in the wedding area . It was just plain white and was for a centerpiece . I just saw so much in it I had to buy it and bring it home . The Blue lady I use the whole templete and just added the shoulders, head and arms . I had to adjust it alittle . The Poppy Girl I just used the skirt and added the whole blouse , head and arms . Both tops are stamps from Character Contruction . She has the greatest stamps . Dont ya think ?

Engagament calendar round robin

These 5 spreads were done in an engagament calendar round robin . The girl who own the book wanted to keep the pictures in the book . So I worked around them . I had a stamp with a creativity quote on it so I took that and typed it out so that it fit what I was doing . Colored penciled the images and emblished the pages and added added the quote . I really liked the way they came out .

These are 2 spreads in did in an art journal about calf . It was a fun project . That I really enjoy .

Queen of all Butterflys

This is a small wooden box I found somewhere , Yard sale, flea market . I dont know . LOLOL It was painted with gold paint and has a sad faded blueish green flocked stuff on the inside . I knew just what I wanted to do with it the moment I saw it . The little doll Is made of a twig that has wire arms that I then wrapped in stuffing and then wrapped fabric over that . I wanted to her to have the feel of being cocooned so added the silk string in the front of her. She has angelina wings . She has the feeling of a mother, an old soul who is watching over her flock .

A touch of Spring

I know some many are having hard winters I thought I would show you a small touch of spring today . Many of you know my hubby and I own 14 1/2 ac of land in central VA. We are hoping to built a house with in the next 2 years and retire there . It is my place where I find peace . I feel so comfortable there its like I have alway lived there . Funny how that happens sometimes . We are going to name the farm "The farm of Acadia Blue " . Now I know you are wondering whats with all this acadia blue stuff . well I came to Va from New hampshire and My favorite place while I lived there was Acadia national park in Maine and Blue is my favorite color . But it goes on ..... When we first moved to VA I was terribly homesick and lonely so we got a dog . A yellow lab that I name" Acadia Blue" and we called her "Katie". She was my companion and best friend for 18 years . So I think you get the picture . When she past away in 2005 we had her creamted and will bury her ashes in a garden that I am now making for her . I feel her spirit there when ever we are there and she watches over us . We now have 3 dogs . Buster our big boy . He is becoming an old man now but still watches over us and protects like her should . hes still not to crazy about the girls . Phoebe and Butter Baby and the same age 3 years and are best girlfriends . They play all day long, they wear me out with all there rough housing . LOLOLOL Well I hope this little photo gives you all an uplift that Spring is on its way .

Crazy quilt family pillow

I made this pillow for a christmas gift for a family member . Those are my grandparents in the middle . I was surprzied how well the photo came out when I printed it on cotton . It was just a printed copy on paper. Then I printed the saying and Mother and Father out on a very light fabric that was backed by paper . I cant remember right off hand what it was . But I was pleased how well it all worked together . And the pillow was loved .

Here is a funny scrap crow I made. I call him Mr. Rodchester. He reminds me of a guy who is very refined and classy LOLOLOL . Just something fun to do to give my brain a rest LOLOLOL I hope you all like him .
